OpenMove and Vifram win Trentino transport platform concession
The consortium led by OpenMove and Vifram has been awarded the concession to design, implement, and manage the New Trentino Transport Platform (NPTT). The project was tendered by the Autonomous Province of Trento through the Provincial Agency for Procurement and Contracts (APAC).
The OpenMove–Vifram bid received full technical scores, distinguishing itself through advanced features such as EMV contactless payments across the entire fleet and Account-Based ticketing integrated into MaaS platforms. The new digital infrastructure will manage ticketing, tariffs, multi-channel sales, and real-time fleet monitoring, replacing existing systems. The platform will support one of Italy’s largest and most diverse fleets, including over 700 buses and 25 trains.
