Bari hosts Carlo Goldoni’s L’impresario delle Smirne

The Compagnia Tiberio Fiorilli will perform Carlo Goldoni’s L’impresario delle Smirne on August 31 at the Arena della Pace in Bari. Directed by Dino Signorile, the production is a free adaptation by Domenico Piscopo and Luca Molino designed to engage contemporary audiences through modern scenic language.

The play serves as a satire of the entertainment industry, following a foreign impresario navigating the ambitions and vulnerabilities of actors and artists. This performance marks the conclusion of the Estate a Bari 2026 project, an initiative by the Municipality of Bari aimed at bringing theatrical classics to local communities and transforming peripheries into cultural hubs through shows and workshops.
