Bari hosts immersive virtual reality experience of Dante’s Inferno

Image Center Productions in Bari has launched “Tu sei Dante Alighieri,” an immersive experience that utilizes virtual reality technology to bring Dante Alighieri’s “Divine Comedy” to life. Starting in October, the project allows participants to use high-end VR headsets and 3D audio systems to experience the journey through the circles of Hell from the perspective of the poet himself.

The initiative aims to modernize cultural dissemination by making classical literature accessible to a diverse audience, including students and families. The experience is supplemented by themed video content, music, and dedicated panels illustrating the poem’s scenarios. Rocco Solimine, owner of Image Center Productions, stated the project seeks to connect the public with literature through an innovative and engaging language.
