Bari inaugurates new urban infrastructure in Santa Rita
The city of Bari has inaugurated several new urban infrastructure projects in the Santa Rita district as part of the National Innovative Program for Housing Quality (PINQuA). The completed works include a new garden on via Cascia, which was built on the site of a former dilapidated market, a sustainable green parking area in Strada Lama del Duca, a new bicycle path connecting to existing routes in Contrada Ferrigni, and upgraded sidewalks.
Local officials, including Territory Care Councilor Domenico Scaramuzzi and Heritage Councilor Nicola Grasso, attended the inauguration. The projects are intended to revitalize the neighborhood by providing new spaces for social interaction, sports, and family activities, while improving local mobility for pedestrians and cyclists.
