Bari municipality imposes €300,000 fee on SSC Bari for stadium concerts
The five‑year concession for the San Nicola stadium in Bari expired, and the city council decided not to extend it to SSC Bari. Instead, the municipality granted a temporary, paid‑for use of the venue for five concerts scheduled between 18 June and 8 July, requiring the club to pay a total of €300,000.
The concerts include two shows by Vasco Rossi, performances by Eros Ramazzotti, Max Pezzali and Tiziano Ferro. Tickets for the events, already sold to more than 200 000 fans, will be honoured. Mayor Vito Leccese stressed that the stadium remains a public asset and called on club president Luigi De Laurentiis to keep the city informed about future plans, noting the 2028 deadline for ending multi‑ownership of football clubs. Ongoing technical inspections of the pitch, lighting and facilities will continue throughout the temporary use period.
