Bari municipality to reclaim San Nicola stadium after concession expires

The concession for the San Nicola stadium in Bari expired on 31 May 2026. The city council has initiated procedures to retake control of the venue, with no extension being granted. A meeting between Mayor Vito Leccese and SSC Bari administrator Luigi De Laurentiis has not yet been scheduled, leaving the negotiation deadlocked.

Four concerts already booked – Vasco Rossi (18 June), Eros Ramazzotti (23 June), Max Pezzali (5 July) and Tiziano Ferro (8 July) – are not currently in jeopardy, and efforts are underway to confirm their continuation despite the stadium’s pending administrative transition.
