Bari officials confirm tree transplantation for BRT works

In Bari, local authorities have clarified that trees in Largo 2 Giugno will not be felled during the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) construction works. Councilor for Territory Domenico Scaramuzzi stated that the prunus trees will be transplanted to a nursery for protection and replanted in November.

Acacia trees in the area will be fully preserved, and the city plans to increase the local green space through new plantings along the park's perimeter as part of a broader urban reforestation plan. Scaramuzzi emphasized that the BRT project aims to minimize environmental impact while improving the city's green assets.
