Bari residents face severe decay in San Marcello public housing

Residents of Arca public housing buildings in the San Marcello area of Bari are facing severe living conditions, including humidity, mold, and water infiltration. Local councilor Gianni Romito has issued an urgent appeal to Arca Puglia, calling for immediate interventions to address deteriorating roofs, obsolete systems, and clogged drainage.

Romito noted that water penetrates buildings and reaches apartments and basements due to damaged waterproofing. He emphasized that these issues are not merely aesthetic but affect the dignity and daily lives of residents, urging the agency's leadership to act without further delay.
