Bari: State Police inspect freight terminal for dangerous goods risks

The Italian State Police conducted extraordinary inspections at the Bari Lamasinata freight terminal to prevent risks associated with the railway transport of dangerous goods. The operation, coordinated by a State Police Commissioner, involved personnel from the Bari, Foggia, and Brindisi Railway Police departments.

During the inspections, authorities identified irregularities resulting in two administrative sanctions totaling 10,000 euros. The operation utilized specialized personnel from the Railway Accident and Dangerous Goods Operational Nucleus (N.O.I.F.E.M.P.), who received specific training at the State Police Training Center in Cesena to manage railway incidents and hazardous material risks.
