Giuditta D'Elia reports new assault at Bari's Rossani Park

Giuditta D'Elia, a 26‑year‑old university student, was violently attacked on 23 July 2026 in the public restrooms of Rossani Park in Bari, sustaining injuries that required a 40‑day recovery period. The incident, involving adults and minors, prompted a criminal investigation by the minor’s prosecutor and the suspension of the park’s cleaning staff.

On 1 August 2026 D'Elia posted on Instagram that she was again approached, surrounded and insulted by two youths on scooters while returning to the same park. She said they recorded the episode, shouted “we saw everything, you deserve it, kids don’t hit each other,” and tried to prevent her from taking a water‑pistol, allegedly attempting to kill her. D'Elia urged anyone with video footage to send it to her, stating that surveillance material will soon disprove the accusations. She described the episode as “inhuman violence” and appealed to President Giorgia Meloni, saying “the future of our young people is in your hands.” The case remains under investigation.
