Bari truck collision leaves one vehicle suspended
A collision involving two semi-trucks occurred at the entrance of the SS16 highway near Mungivacca in Bari, Italy. One of the vehicles veered off the road and remained suspended in mid-air following the impact.
Emergency responders, including three teams from the Bari Fire Department, arrived at the scene around 5:00 PM. The two drivers, identified as foreign nationals of Ukrainian and Albanian descent, were treated by medical personnel and are reported to be in non-life-threatening condition.
Due to a diesel spill on the roadway, the specialized NBCR (Nuclear, Biological, Chemical, and Radiological) unit was deployed to secure the area. Complex recovery operations involving heavy cranes were conducted to remove the vehicles, and traffic flow was fully restored by approximately 8:00 PM.
