Barilla to invest 100 million euros in new Foggia facility
Barilla has announced a 100 million euro investment to strengthen its industrial presence in Foggia, Italy. The project involves constructing a next-generation mill to integrate with the city's existing pasta factory, creating an integrated pasta hub modeled after the company's facility in Parma.
The development, expected to take place between 2028 and 2030, aims to transform the Foggia site into a strategic hub for both Italian and international markets. By integrating the mill and the pasta factory, the company intends to shorten the supply chain, reduce the transport of semolina, and improve overall logistical efficiency.
While a comprehensive hiring plan for the new plant has not yet been released, recruitment processes have already begun. Current job openings include specialized roles such as plant senior technologists and plant quality managers, with the company offering permanent contracts.
