Bariloche holds annual ‘Noche sin Alcohol’ with two closures

Bariloche held its annual ‘Noche sin Alcohol’ (Night Without Alcohol) from the night of Saturday, September 12, through the early hours of Sunday, September 13. The initiative, aimed at prevention and awareness, saw a positive response from local residents and the gastronomic sector, with many establishments reporting high attendance despite the prohibition of alcohol sales.

To ensure compliance, the Municipality deployed an inspection operation involving four vehicles and General Inspection teams across various sectors, including the city center, Alto, and the kilometers sector. Additional mobile units from the El Cóndor Delegation and the Catedral area assisted in monitoring the sale of alcoholic beverages.

During the operation, inspectors identified two violations: one establishment was caught serving alcohol by the glass, and another was found selling alcoholic beverages outside of permitted hours. Both businesses were immediately closed. Officials noted that this year showed greater community adherence to the proposal compared to the previous year.
