Barings appoints Brian Maute as Head of U.S. Wealth

Barings, an alternative asset manager with $502 billion in assets, has appointed Brian Maute as the new Head of U.S. Wealth. This newly created leadership position is part of the firm’s strategy to expand the distribution of its investment offerings across various wealth platforms, including registered investment advisers, broker-dealers, private banks, and family offices.

Maute will oversee the firm’s U.S. wealth distribution strategy, focusing on expanding access to credit, real assets, capital solutions, and emerging markets. He will also work with internal teams to develop products and educational resources to assist wealth managers in integrating alternative investments into client portfolios. Maute brings over 20 years of experience to the role, having previously held senior positions at DWS Group, Invesco, and Van Kampen Investments.
