Barisan Muda Kosgoro 1957 Holds Mubes V in Semarang, Emphasizes Cadre Development

The fifth large congress (Mubes V) of Barisan Muda Kosgoro 1957 (BMK 1957) is scheduled for 8‑10 August 2026 in Semarang, Central Java. The event’s theme, "Consistency of Cadre Development and Continuity of Consolidation," aims to strengthen the youth wing’s cadre quality and sustain organizational consolidation. Secretary General Almanzo Bonara said the congress will serve as a strategic platform to produce capable leaders who can contribute to Indonesia’s "Golden 2045" vision.

Organising Committee chair Mahardika Soemantri reported that preparations are about 80 % complete and that the programme blends formal sessions with informal activities, including a city tour showcasing local wisdom and involvement of local small‑medium enterprises (UMKM). The organizers hope the mix will foster interaction among cadres from across provinces while delivering economic benefits to the host community.
