Barkarbystaden hosts family health and activity day

On Sunday, 20 September, the Barkarbystaden district in Järfälla held a family‑focused day centred on health and movement. The event opened at 11 a.m. on Stora torget and offered a range of activities, including the inclusive Barkarby Run with distances from 1.4 km to a quarter‑marathon, sports demonstrations by local clubs, and fitness sessions for all ages and abilities.

Exhibitors from local businesses and the municipality presented information on new housing projects, upcoming retail and service offerings, and the planned new metro hub. Food trucks, entertainment, face‑painting and a prize‑giving ceremony added a festive atmosphere, while participants of all ages received medals and goodie bags.
