Catholic communities in Italy launch new pastoral years and programs
Various Catholic dioceses and communities across Italy are launching new pastoral years and implementing updated religious programs.
In the Archdiocese of Trani-Barletta-Bisceglie, Archbishop Leonardo D’Ascenzo has announced a diocesan pastoral convention for October 16, 2026, featuring Cardinal Roberto Repole. The event aims to focus on the gift of faith and follow guidelines from the CEI document ‘Radicati e costruiti in Cristo’. Additionally, the ‘fierA di esserCI’ event, organized by the Diocesan Catholic Action, is scheduled to take place in Barletta on October 11 to promote educational alliances.
In Monreale, Archbishop Gualtiero Isacchi opened the new pastoral year in memory of the late Archbishop Cataldo Naro, emphasizing the need for communities to discern the signs of the times. Meanwhile, in Turin, the Agnelli Institute is introducing new weekly catechesis guidelines for the 2026-2027 period.
Other regional updates include the arrival of new parish priests in Barbara, the inauguration of the Rondine Peace Citadel training paths in Arezzo, and the upcoming 26th Cavalcata di San Leonardo in Alta Badia.
