Cultural festivals announced for 2026 in Argentina and Italy

Various cultural and community events have been announced for late 2026 across Argentina and Italy.

In San Carlos de Bariloche, Argentina, the Bariloche International Music Festival (FIMBA) is scheduled for September 16–20, 2026. The free event will feature 25 concerts across six venues, including genres ranging from folk and jazz to trap and symphonic music, with performers such as Chango Spasiuk and Hamilton de Holanda.

In Italy, several regional festivals are preparing for 2026. Pordenonelegge, a major book festival, will feature over 650 authors and is expected to conclude with a visit from President Sergio Mattarella. The FILMARE Festival will take place in Praia a Mare and Sangineto from September 24–27, focusing on cinema, the sea, and the environment. Other scheduled events include the Disfida di Barletta (September 18–27), the OktoberFestBari (September 25–27), and the first Festa della Birra in Portico di Caserta.

Additionally, the Rotary Club Bisceglie will host its 25th School Festival on September 18, featuring Don Riccardo Agresti, while the SPI CGIL will hold its 32nd Giochi di LiberEtà in Cattolica, featuring political speakers Maurizio Landini and Elly Schlein. In Bologna, the regional museums have outlined a cultural program through 2030 focused on revitalizing art collections and exhibitions.
