Barletta reopens Maria Montessori school after renovations
The Maria Montessori nursery school in Barletta has reopened following extensive renovations. The works, which had kept the facility closed since April 2024, included seismic upgrades, system improvements, energy efficiency measures, and safety enhancements. The project was funded by 1.78 million euros from the PNRR, supplemented by 530,000 euros from the municipal government.
Additionally, the Modugno elementary school gym in Barletta has been inaugurated after repairs to address severe rainwater infiltration. These works, costing 363,000 euros, involved replacing the roof, flooring, and windows, as well as consolidating parapets and updating electrical and climate control systems. Further school infrastructure projects are currently underway in the region.
