Barletta sanitation worker returns lost bag containing 600 euros

A sanitation worker in Barletta, Italy, returned a lost bag containing 600 euros to a 90-year-old man. The elderly man, Remo Perna, had left the bag on a bench while visiting his son's grave at the municipal cemetery.

The worker, an employee of Barsa Spa, refused a reward offered by the family, stating that he was “simply doing his duty” as a community service provider. Perna's daughter, Michela, expressed public gratitude, noting that the money was part of her father's pension and describing the act as a significant example of honesty and civic duty.
