Barletta to host scientific conference on osteoporosis

A two-day scientific conference titled ‘Attualità in Osteoporosi: diagnosi, terapia e riabilitazione’ will be held on October 23 and 24, 2026, at the Castello Svevo in Barletta, Italy. The event focuses on the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of osteoporosis.

Led by Professor Giuseppe Guglielmi of the University of Foggia, the seminar will feature four working sessions. Topics include bone metabolism, new diagnostic techniques with high sensitivity and specificity, and the management of fragility fractures. The program aims to address the social and economic impacts of the disease by promoting early diagnosis and specialized pharmacological treatments.

The conference is designed for medical professionals, including doctors, biologists, nurses, radiology technicians, and physiotherapists. A roundtable discussion involving patient associations is scheduled for the morning of October 24.
