Barnabás Vas wins Turul României queen stage

Hungarian cyclist Barnabás Vas won the queen stage of the Turul României, a 200-kilometer route from Piatra Neamț to Băile Balvanyos. Vas, representing the United Shipping Team, won the final sprint after a technical climb, narrowly defeating Italy's Enea Sambinello.

His teammate, András Gustáv Pakot, finished third in the stage. Due to time bonuses, the 20-year-old Pakot took over the overall lead in the general classification, holding a two-second advantage over Sambinello and Ronan O’Connor.

The stage was characterized by significant elevation changes and technical descents. An early four-man breakaway was caught approximately 65 kilometers before the finish. Late in the race, strong crosswinds caused the peloton to split, creating a group of 11 riders before the final selection on the uphill finish.
