Barão Vermelho to perform in Nilópolis for city anniversary

The rock band Barão Vermelho is scheduled to perform in Nilópolis this Friday, August 21, to celebrate the city's 79th anniversary of political-administrative emancipation. The event will take place at Praça dos Estudantes in the city center starting at 9:30 PM.

The performance is part of the band's new tour, ‘Do Tamanho da Vida’, which features a new song of the same name by Cazuza. The tour, which was launched during Rock in Rio 2024, aims to celebrate the band's 43-year history while addressing themes such as the passage of time and ageism.

Prior to the main act, Rafa D’Avila and other artists from the ‘Filhos da Terra’ project are scheduled to perform at 7:00 PM. The event is organized by the Nilópolis Municipal Government in partnership with the Sindicato do Comércio Varejista (Sincovanil) and supported by Sesc RJ.
