Baron Corbin returns to WWE SmackDown, interrupts Hayes‑Williams match

Baron Corbin made his WWE SmackDown comeback on July 10, ending a roughly two‑year absence. He entered the ring during a non‑title bout between Trick Williams and Carmelo Hayes, pulled Hayes from the ropes, attacked both competitors and hit his End of Days finisher on each. Corbin then seized a custom United States Championship belt – a replica presented earlier by Lil Yachty – and left the arena.

The return follows Corbin’s recent independent work, including a dark match for AEW and a stint in Major League Wrestling where he held the tag‑team titles with Donovan Dijak. In WWE he previously held the United States Championship for 70 days in 2017, won Money in the Bank, and captured the NXT Tag Team Championship in 2024. WWE officials have now given him a second chance at a mid‑card push.
