Baronissi Becomes First Campania Town (15k‑30k Population) to Secure Regional Funding for Electric School Bus

The municipality of Baronissi, in the 15,000‑30,000‑inhabitant bracket, ranked first in Campania to receive regional funding for purchasing an electric school bus. The funding is part of the Regional Campania FESR 2021‑2027 programme, which aims to modernise school transport with zero‑emission vehicles, improve service quality, enhance student safety and support the energy transition.

Baronissi’s municipal council approved the convention scheme sent by the Region, initiating the final administrative steps required to sign the agreement and acquire the electric bus. Mayor Anna Petta highlighted the achievement as a sign of the administration’s effectiveness and a commitment to sustainable, modern transport for local families and students.
