Baroque 'Arte y Misericordia' Exhibition Opens at Madrid's Conde Duque Centre
The Madrid cultural centre Conde Duque will host the summer exhibition "Arte y misericordia," featuring a rare collection of 17th‑century Baroque works by Bartolomé Esteban Murillo, Juan de Valdés Leal and sculptor Pedro Roldán. Organized by the city council as part of the Veranos de la Villa programme, the display brings together paintings and reliefs that originally decorated the Hospital de la Santa Caridad and the Church of San Jorge in Seville, marking the first time the ensemble is shown outside its home city.
The exhibition occupies the south hall of the centre throughout the summer season; exact opening and closing dates have not yet been confirmed. Visitors are advised to consult the official Veranos de la Villa website for current hours and any entry requirements.
