Barpeta Braves defeat Guwahati Royals in Assam Premier League

In the Assam Premier League, the Barpeta Braves secured a four-wicket victory over the Guwahati Royals at the Assam Cricket Association Stadium. Captain Denish Das led the chase with a half-century, scoring 52 runs off 41 balls, including five fours. The Braves reached the target of 137 with two balls remaining.

Earlier, the Guwahati Royals posted a total of 136/6 in their 20 overs. Rishav Das anchored the innings with 39 runs, supported by Nibir Deka’s 33. Shubham Kumar Gupta was a key performer for the Barpeta Braves' bowling attack, taking two wickets to keep the Royals in check.

The win moves the Barpeta Braves to third place in the points table with eight points from seven matches. The Guwahati Royals remain in second place with 10 points, trailing the Dibrugarh Warriors on net run rate.
