Barpeta Braves secure Assam Premier League semifinal spot

The Barpeta Braves have secured their place in the Assam Premier League semifinals following two decisive victories.

In a match against the Nagaon Rangers, the Braves won by 14 runs via the VJD Method after rain interrupted play. Captain Denish Das scored an unbeaten 46 off 32 balls, supported by Saurav Mousum Dihingia’s unbeaten 40. The victory resulted in the elimination of the Nagaon Rangers, Tezpur Titans, and Jorhat Stallions from the competition.

In a separate fixture, the Barpeta Braves reclaimed the top spot in the points table by defeating the Barak Legends by seven wickets. Chasing a target of 120, Saurav Dihingia anchored the innings with an unbeaten 56, while Abhilash Maurya contributed an unbeaten 41. The Barak Legends' total was bolstered by Abdul Ajij Kuraishi’s 50, despite a three-wicket haul from Rajesh Prasad.
