Barra Mansa (RJ) municipal hiring opens for up to 747 temporary social service jobs

The Prefeitura of Barra Mansa, Rio de Janeiro, announced a simplified public selection (Edital nº 01/2026) to hire temporary staff for the Municipal Secretariat of Social Assistance and Human Rights (SMASDH). A total of 747 positions are offered: 81 for open competition, 1 for people with disabilities, 15 for first‑job participants and 650 reserve‑list slots. The roles cover basic, middle and higher‑education levels, including security guards, auxiliary staff, caretakers, social workers, drivers, assistants and pedagogues. All positions pay a salary of R$ 1,621 plus transport allowance, with work schedules of 20 h, 40 h or 12 × 36 h under CLT contracts for one year, renewable for another year. Applications are free and must be submitted in person on 9–10 July 2026 at SMASDH’s headquarters (Rua Oscar da Silva Marins, 155, Centro). Candidates must present a completed form, résumé, identification, education proof and, when applicable, medical or quota documentation. Selection consists of curriculum analysis and, for caregiver and social‑worker posts, an elimination interview.
