Barranquilla Chamber of Commerce unveils Caribbean development roadmap

At the twelfth edition of the Caribe BIZ Forum in Barranquilla, Efraín Cepeda Tarud, executive president of the Barranquilla Chamber of Commerce (CCB), presented a strategic roadmap for the economic development of the Colombian Caribbean.

The strategy is built upon three institutional pillars: modernizing service channels through technology and simplified procedures to be closer to entrepreneurs, leading regional economic transformation through public-private collaboration, and promoting internationalization by integrating local production into global value chains.

Cepeda Tarud emphasized that the region possesses favorable historical conditions for growth. He noted that the CCB aims to measure success through real impacts on business volume and productivity. Additionally, the plan identifies energy as a key strategic motor to attract investment and integrate small and medium-sized enterprises into productive chains.
