Barranquilla student in critical condition after motorcycle accident

Melany Grace Rodríguez, a 25-year-old student, is in critical condition in the intensive care unit at Clínica La Victoria in Barranquilla, Colombia. She is reportedly suffering from brain death following a traffic accident on Avenida Cordialidad.

The incident occurred on the morning of Friday, September 11, when Rodríguez was attempting to cross the avenue after leaving a SENA technical training center. Security footage shows her attempting to reach a median strip while two buses were parked in the pedestrian zone, at which point she was struck by a motorcycle. The impact caused her to fall onto the pavement, resulting in a severe head injury.
