Barreal investigation launched into the murder of Camila Vecchiarello

Camila Agustina Vecchiarello, a 26-year-old aspiring member of the National Gendarmerie, was found murdered in an apartment complex in Barreal. Forensic examinations revealed multiple wounds caused by a sharp object, including injuries to her neck, face, and hands, which were identified as defensive wounds.

Carlos Gonzalo Riveros, Vecchiarello’s partner, was found at the scene with signs of an attempted suicide. Following medical treatment, Riveros was detained and remains under investigation. Authorities from the UFI Delitos Especiales, led by prosecutor Adolfo Díaz, are handling the case. Evidence seized during the investigation includes mobile phones, clothing, and two knives, as well as a letter attributed to the accused found within the residence.
