Barreiras and Feira FC advance in Baiano Série B semifinals

Barreiras secured a 2‑1 victory over SSA at the Estádio Geraldo Pereira, giving the western Bahia side an advantage in the first leg of the Campeonato Baiano Série B semifinal. A goal from Formiga in added time of the first half was followed by a headed strike from Gilmar early in the second period. SSA reduced the deficit late in the match, but could not force a draw.

In the other semifinal, Feira FC and Fluminense de Feira played to a goalless draw at the Arena Cajueiro. Both coaches praised the balance of the encounter and confirmed that the second leg on 19 July at the Estádio Joia da Princesa will decide the finalist and the promotion spot to the 2027 Campeonato Baiano top division. The winners of the two semifinals will meet in the final, with the victor earning direct access to the state’s Série A.
