BarrelPick launches platform for bourbon barrel ownership

A new Kentucky-based platform, BarrelPick, has launched to allow consumers to purchase entire barrels of bourbon. Launched on September 19, 2026, during the Kentucky Bourbon Festival in Bardstown, the service offers access to more than 1,000 barrels from over 20 different producers.

Under this model, buyers own the barrel while it ages in a warehouse. The platform allows users to request samples as the whiskey matures and decide when and at what proof the liquid should be bottled. A notable feature of the service is the ability to bottle a portion of a barrel while leaving the remainder to continue aging.

Logistics, compliance, storage, and bottling are managed through the Kentucky Artisan Distillery near Louisville. The inventory includes barrels ranging from newly filled to those aged for more than a decade.
