Barretos festival attendee slaps police officer during dispute

A 47-year-old woman was detained after slapping a military police officer during a confrontation at the Festa do Peão de Barretos in São Paulo. The incident occurred on Tuesday night at the Parque do Peão.

Video footage captured by singer Ricco Montana shows a dispute between two women, one wearing white and the other in an orange shirt working at a stall. The altercation reportedly began when the woman in white approached the stall and knocked the worker down. When police arrived to intervene, the woman in white struck a female officer in the face.

The aggressor was initially taken to the Military Police station within the park before being transferred to the Central de Polícia Judiciária (CPJ) in Barretos. She was charged with bodily injury, resistance, and contempt of authority. Following the registration of the occurrence, she signed a term of circumstances and was released.
