Barretos International Rodeo concludes with new champions and 2027 ambassadors

The 33rd Barretos International Rodeo concluded its 71st edition, held from August 20 to 30, 2026. The event, recognized as the largest rodeo in Latin America, crowned its competition champions and announced the musical duo Chitãozinho e Xororó as ambassadors for the 2027 edition.

Assyrio José Dias from Sertanópolis, Paraná, secured the main title with a score of 90.50 points on the bull Metanol, earning a spot in The American rodeo in the United States.

A highlight of the closing festivities was the ‘Desafio do Bem’, a charitable initiative supporting the Hospital de Amor, a national reference in cancer treatment and prevention. This year, the event featured Olympic volleyball champion Maurício do Vôlei, who participated to help raise funds for the institution.
