Barretos Rodeo Festival names candidates for 2026 Queen

The 71st Festa do Peão de Barretos will select its new Rainha (Queen) for 2026 in a final held on July 17 at the North Shopping Barretos. Two main candidates have been highlighted.

Isabela Lima, a 24‑year‑old biomedicine student from São José do Rio Preto who now lives in Barretos, has followed rodeo since 2018 and emphasizes humility, communication and respect for tradition.

Alessa Esper, a 21‑year‑old production‑engineering student originally from Minas Gerais and raised in Barretos, cites her love of the Team Penning event and aims to represent the city’s rodeo culture.

The elected queen will promote the festival nationally and take part in the 11‑day celebration scheduled for 20‑30 August 2026.
