Barrie M. Osborne lines up new fantasy epic ‘Wars of the Drakons’

Oscar-winning producer Barrie M. Osborne, known for his work on ‘The Lord of the Rings’ trilogy, is returning to production with a new fantasy epic titled ‘Wars of the Drakons: The Seer’s Prophecy’. This marks his first major production role in over a decade.

Osborne is partnering with Jeanette B. Milio and Jim Milio of Alliance Cinema to develop the project, which is intended to serve as the beginning of a franchise. The story is set in the war-torn world of Aerion, where kingdoms fight for power using ‘Drakons’—supernatural, dragon-like creatures. The plot follows a legendary warrior, Kale D’Sar, whose loyalty to a ruthless king is tested when a prophecy reveals the king’s daughter is destined to unite the realm and end his regime.

The screenplay is written and produced by newcomer Carla Romero. The project has been in development for approximately six months and is described as a large-scale adventure designed for broad international appeal.
