Barrios Unidos District Graduates 52 in Generative AI Training Program

The Local Mayor's Office of Barrios Unidos in Bogotá celebrated the graduation of 52 participants who completed a 90‑hour virtual diploma on generative artificial intelligence and future‑job competencies. The program, part of the "Barrios Unidos se Forma, se Activa, se Transforma" strategy, was delivered in partnership with the NGOs Propaís and Unicompensar and aimed to reduce digital gaps and improve employability in the district.

Graduates learned to craft AI‑assisted résumés, optimise professional profiles and navigate job‑selection processes, and the ceremony concluded with an employment fair where companies offered active vacancies. A second cohort is underway, targeting a total of 100 trained residents, and the initiative aligns with the city‑wide "IA sin límites" program run by the Secretaría Distrital de Desarrollo Económico, which provides free digital‑skill courses to Bogotanos.
