Barrister Gohar confirms Imran Khan recorded video from Adiala Jail
Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has confirmed reports regarding former Prime Minister Imran Khan recording a video from behind bars at Adiala Jail. Gohar validated claims made by Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, stating that Khan was indeed in his cell when the discussion regarding the video took place.
According to Gohar, the request to record a video arose after Ali Amin Gandapur informed Khan about the martyrdom of Rangers personnel. Khan expressed his intention to offer condolences following this briefing. Gohar also noted that while discussions regarding video recordings had occurred previously at the jail, this specific instance involved direct communication between Khan and Gandapur.
In a separate context regarding political negotiations, Barrister Gohar commented on the role of Mohsin Naqvi, noting that Naqvi had played a constructive role and maintained contact during discussions. However, Gohar criticized the decision of certain parties to leave the negotiating table, suggesting that the current political trajectory sets an unconstitutional precedent for future governance. He further highlighted the detention of PTI members and elected officials as part of a broader challenge to the democratic system.
