Barrocas: Infrastructure progress and political accusations

In Barrocas, Mayor José Almir is overseeing the progress of road widening and preparation works intended to facilitate future asphalt paving. These projects aim to connect rural communities to the BA-409 highway, improving transit between the rural zone, the municipal seat, and neighboring cities. The works, being executed by Top Engenharia, are a result of coordination between the municipality and the State Government.

Concurrently, former mayor José Jailson, known as Jai, has leveled accusations against the current administration. In a recent video, Jailson claimed that contracted public servants are being pressured to participate in political activities, attend events, and campaign for the current mayor's group. He further alleged that employees face threats and that mobile phones are collected during certain meetings, though he provided no documentary evidence to support these claims.
