Barrocas officials confirm progress on Municipal Stadium renovations

Municipal officials in Barrocas have confirmed that renovation works at the Municipal Stadium are progressing as planned. Despite local concerns regarding the timeline, the Secretary of Sports, Pedro Marcelo, stated that the local football team is expected to return to the stadium for the second phase of the 2026 Intermunicipal Championship.

The renovation includes replacing the natural grass with synthetic turf, installing lighting towers, and adding coverage to the stands. Currently, the team is playing its home matches in the neighboring city of Serrinha due to the ongoing construction.
