Barrosa Skull Groms surfing championship returns for eighth edition

The eighth edition of the Barrosa Skull Groms surfing championship is scheduled to take place this autumn at La Barrosa beach in Chiclana. The event, which is part of the Spanish Surfing Federation’s Junior Series and Surfing Kids circuit, will feature young surfers aged 10 to 18 from across Spain. The competition window is set between October 24 and November 30.

Organizers noted that the event has grown significantly over the years, increasing from 40 to 100 participants. Beyond the competition, the championship aims to integrate gastronomy, fashion, and environmental education through workshops and beach cleanups. Parallel activities will include skate zones, training clinics, and live music to engage families and the local community.
