Barry Manilow cancels Las Vegas shows to take break from performing

Singer Barry Manilow, 83, has announced a hiatus from live performances after a demanding summer tour. The veteran performer, who recently completed 29 shows in 68 days, stated that he had been ‘pushing a little too hard’ and needs to take a break to recover.

The announcement follows the cancellation of scheduled performances at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino for late August, which were attributed to ‘technical and vocal problems.’ Manilow previously faced health challenges following a lung cancer diagnosis late last year, though he has since returned to the stage.

Manilow plans to return to the Westgate Las Vegas on October 8th. New concert dates for the venue are expected to be announced next week.
