Burhaniye Faculty of Applied Sciences sees major YKS ranking gains
The Burhaniye Faculty of Applied Sciences (BUBFA) at Balıkesir University has demonstrated significant growth in the 2026 Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS) placement results. According to the 2026 YKS Placement Analysis Report prepared by ÖSYM and YÖK Atlas, three undergraduate programs from the faculty ranked among the top four programs with the highest increase in success rankings across the entire university.
The specific programs showing notable progress include:
• International Trade: Improved its ranking from 510,845 in 2025 to 386,767 in 2026, a rise of 124,078 positions, placing it second within the university. • Tourism Management: Increased its ranking from 636,613 to 517,654, an improvement of 118,959 positions, ranking third in the university. • Finance and Banking: Rose from 491,252 to 390,468, an increase of 100,784 positions, ranking fourth in the university.
This simultaneous rise across multiple disciplines indicates a strengthening position for the faculty in terms of student preferences and educational competitiveness.
