Bartın University Announces 25,000 TL Monthly Scholarships for Top 5,000 YKS Students

The Bartın University Development and Support Foundation has launched a scholarship program for students who rank among the top 5,000 nationwide in the 2026 YKS exam. Published in the Official Gazette on 11 May 2026, the scheme provides a monthly stipend of 25,000 TL for nine months each academic year. Eligibility requires meeting the university’s academic criteria in addition to the YKS ranking. The foundation, created through a partnership of local business leaders and academic staff, aims to encourage high‑performing students to choose Bartın University. Foundation chairman Muhammet Aksoy leads the board, which also includes prominent city figures and university officials such as Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Akkaya. The scholarships are intended to support students financially, allowing them to continue their studies with stronger resources.
