Bartolomé Mitre wins Liga Federal basketball championship
Bartolomé Mitre has secured the Liga Federal championship, a victory that marks significant milestones for both the club and its players. The team won the title after a demanding tournament involving 93 teams across Argentina, defeating Club Atlético River Plate in the final.
Player José Montero achieved a rare professional milestone by becoming one of the few athletes to win titles in all three professional tiers of Argentine basketball: the Liga Nacional, the Liga Argentina, and now the Liga Federal. His previous titles include winning the Liga Nacional with Quimsa and the Liga Argentina with Atenas de Córdoba.
Veteran guard Luciano Tantos also celebrated the championship, marking his second Liga Federal title after previously winning with Estudiantes in 2014. Tantos noted the historical significance of the win for the city of Posadas and expressed interest in renewing his contract with Mitre to compete in the upcoming Liga Argentina season.
