Barton Gold confirms high-grade mineralisation at Tunkillia project
Barton Gold has confirmed new high-grade gold mineralisation at its Tunkillia project in South Australia following a 39,000-metre Phase 2 reverse circulation drilling campaign. The results identified significant intercepts in shallow zones within existing ‘starter pit’ outlines, including an interval of 1 metre at 32.4 g/t gold.
These findings are expected to support potential extensions of the total mineralisation, increase the mineral resource estimate for gold and silver, and enhance the grade profile for the upcoming pre-feasibility study (PFS). The company is currently on track to complete the PFS in the first quarter of 2027.
In addition to resource upgrading, Barton Gold has commenced sterilization drilling at the site to identify areas free of valuable ore for the safe construction of infrastructure such as roads and buildings. The company is also conducting environmental, cultural heritage, and renewable energy evaluations to support project financing and mining lease applications.
