Barton Gold reports high-grade silver assays at Tolmer discovery
Barton Gold Holdings Limited has announced high-grade silver and gold assays from its recent 3,677-metre drilling program at the Tolmer silver discovery in South Australia. The drilling targeted infill and extension of the site, located within the Tarcoola Gold Project.
The new results have extended the strike length of the western silver zone to over 500 metres and identified broad high-grade intersections in the eastern gold zone at depths of at least 200 metres. Notable assays include 3 metres at 1,706 g/t silver and 2 metres at 2.20 g/t gold from 59 metres.
Managing director Alexander Scanlon noted that the shallow profile and previous trial concentrates grading over 100,000 g/t silver suggest the potential for a low-cost, high-margin operation. The company is proceeding with petrology and structural interpretation analyses, alongside plans for full metallurgical testing.
