Bartosz Kurek discusses potential volleyball career retirement

Polish volleyball captain Bartosz Kurek has shared insights regarding the potential end of his professional playing career. In recent interviews, including discussions on the ‘Rezultaty’ channel, Kurek indicated that while his current contract covers one more season, his body suggests he could play for another two to three seasons.

Kurek expressed a desire to retire on his own terms, feeling fulfilled rather than forced by age. He noted that he is currently exploring various professional avenues outside of the court, such as media and business opportunities, to build his post-career identity.

Regarding his involvement with the Polish national team, Kurek stated he intends to ‘squeeze the lemon’ out of his remaining time, enjoying every moment of international play. There is speculation that a potential appearance at the Los Angeles Olympics could serve as a significant milestone or a final chapter for his career.
